New Co-op Stores

Hosei University, Koganei Campus is the home of three science faculties (Faculty of Science and Engineering, Faculty of Bioscience and Applied Chemistry, and Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences), and is characterized by a large number of male students who spend a relatively long time on campus.

The university co-op facilities include a convenience store on the first floor of the East Building on campus, a cafeteria, and a general store & bookstore on the basement floor. The general store & bookstore was renovated in January 2018.

The store now offers food items that were not available before the renovation.
We also widened the counter to make it easier to accept orders on playguide tickets and orders by research labs, which led to an increase in usage last year, especially for driving schools.

From this year, we have installed a prepaid transportation card (IC card) charging machine in the store, and the cafeteria and convenience store have IC card-only cash registers during peak lunch hours. We are looking for ways to make it possible to charge the cards in the general store & bookstore and use them at other stores.

It's been almost two years since the renovation. We want to continue to expand and improve where we can.
