New Co-op Stores

Ibaraki Christian University, General Store & Bookstore

General Store & Bookstore

A store with the scent of wood, where things are arranged in an easy-to-understand manner.

Ibaraki Christian University celebrated the 70th anniversary in 2018

The store was relocated due to the redevelopment of Omika Station, the nearest station to the campus. It is also decided that the main gate on the east side of the campus will be built directly connected to the station. The area where the old store was located would be almost completely devoid of people. With the great cooperation of the university, a new store was built near the new main gate.

The new store is a wooden truss construction using cypress and cedar from Ibaraki Prefecture, and smells like wood. We used to sell textbooks for spring season in a classroom away from the store, but now we can sell them in the common space attached to the new store.

It is right in front of the high school entrance of Ibaraki Christian Senior and Junior High School, which is located on the same site, and across from the university-affiliated nursery. We are grateful to be able to operate our business in such a blessed location near the center of the university complex, and we hope to contribute more to the university and its affiliated schools.

The ratio of female students is about 77%
