NFUCA has been promoting exchanges among university co-operatives in Asian countries and supports their development. It all started in 1980’s. In 2001 NFUCA joined ICA (International Co-operative Alliance), and today we have close ties with university co-operatives of more than 10 countries in the region and beyond. NFUCA, facilitating exchanges among students, faculty and staff, contributes to deeper mutual understanding.

The exchange between Korean university co-operatives and NFUCA started in 2000, regarding business and joint activities. We organize staff training sessions, study tours to Korea/Japan and seminars for students to promote exchanges between Japan and Korea in terms of activities, culture and peace. In 2008, the 7th Japan-Korea University Co-op Student Exchange Seminar was held in Tokyo.
