Nagoya University students don't need to go all the way to the station and travel company to buy tickets or book hotels, because we can do those tasks at Nagoya University Co-op. There are travel service counters in Nagoya University Co-op, both in northern and southern area. The students can buy JR tickets, bus tickets and other tickets with student discount. Students do not only buy tickets for traveling, they also buy tickets at job-hunting season. Other than student discounts, there are travel packages which offer special co-op discount.
When I was thinking to go to a hot spring for the winter trip last year with my friends, I went to Nagoya University Co-op's travel service counter. The staff did not only show us various brochures, but also suggested a more appropriate plan to suit our needs. The travel service counter was very convenient because we could book the hot spring inn and buy JR tickets at the same time.
