TUO Card

I am a third-year student at Osaka University. I came to Japan in the fall of 2009. After entering the university, I joined as a member of the university co-op and made a TUO card. The procedure was quite simple. TUO card can be used in exactly the same way as other credit cards. It offers three different credit limits: 50,000 yen, 100,000 yen and 300,000 yen. I chose the 100,000 yen credit limit. For students who are also beginners is using credit card, the 100,000-yen limit in a month is considered safe. It can also be used in foreign countries. In fact, I have also used the credit card on some return trips to China.

When I went through the application procedure, the co-op staff explained to me very carefully about the items in the application document and checked how I filled the form. Being a foreign student, there were some things that were not clear to me so I didn't know how to write them. But the staff called the credit card company and my questions were answered. I really appreciate the help.

The card arrived safely in about three weeks, and now I'm enjoying the convenience of shopping using the card. However, students must have enough knowledge about how to use the credit card, e.g. the upside and downside of payment via multiple installments.
