University Co-ops in Comics

Part 04: Services Offered by A University Co-op

■ General Store

A co-op’s general store offers a wide range of students’ necessities, including textbooks, teaching materials, stationery products, sportswear, white coats, electronic dictionary, and food and beverages. You can also order items that are not sold in the store.

■ Bookstore

You can purchase books, magazines and textbooks at a discounted price by presenting your membership card. You can also place an order for any books, including foreign books.

■ Dining Hall

We offer a healthy and balanced diet at a cheap price. The dining hall offers various menus, such as set meal, daily specialty, noodles and curry.

The dining hall is self-service type. You pick up the tray, select any dishes you want and pay at the cash register. At the cashier you will receive a receipt stating your meal’s nutritional values. Some co-ops offer meal coupons and meal cards that can be purchased beforehand. In this case, regular reports will be sent to parents/guardians about the student's meal purchase history. University co-ops always provide menus with food and nutrition education in mind.
