University Co-ops in Comics
Part 05: Career Support (Learning and Growth)
University co-ops hold new students' gatherings, which can serve as an opportunity to make new friends. Some university co-ops cooperate with the university to conduct this event. In the gathering, new students can get advice about college life from senior students. Connections beyond academic year are born. Freshmen who are starting to live alone can get advice on housing and supplies. Senior students are good advisors to new students since they can give advice based on their experiences.
University co-ops also promote communication in English in order to support students who wish to master English that is useful in their college life. Co-op’s activities include English Marathon, which records the time of using English everyday, and promotion of English learning clubs. University co-ops also cooperate with the university to hold TOEIC-IP and TOEFL-ITP tests.
We hold seminars in which senior students who have experienced job-hunting process tell their juniors about their own experience and give advice. In addition, we hold seminars that trigger students to think about work and know about the existing industries in Japan. Some job-hunting support events are developed, planned and operated by the students themselves.
